A Night To End All Dawns is a massive award winning Imperial Stout that spent over a year in bourbon barrels. Kane is one of the top stout breweries in the world, and this is their crown jewel.
Included are the 3 variants new to 2024:
These beers were first aged in a blend of various bourbon barrels for an average of 23 months, including Heaven Hill Old Fitzgerald Bourbon, Heaven Hill 8-Year Bourbon and Buffalo Trace Weller Wheated Bourbon.
They split this blend into three portions, each portion being aged in a different unique hardwood cask from Dornas Havana cooperage in Brazil. These special casks, Amburana, Cumaru and Balsamo, were originally used at the cooperage to make unique Brazilian spirits.
Amburana Double Barrel A Night To End All Dawns, 13.4% Double Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout, was aged for an additional six months in an Amburana cask. This beer has notes of rich chocolate and vanilla from the bourbon barrel aging, supported by baked cinnamon rolls and creamy vanilla frosting.
Cumaru Double Barrel A Night To End All Dawns, 12.7% Double Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout, was aged for an additional six months in a Cumaru cask. This beer has notes of chocolate, vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, dried figs and carrot cake.
Balsamo Double Barrel A Night To End All Dawns, 12.9% Double Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout, was aged for an additional six months in a Balsamo cask. This beer pushes notes of fresh baked apple pie à la mode and baked Alaska flambé supported by the rich chocolate and vanilla notes from the prior bourbon barrel aging.
