Continuance 10 Year: The special 10 Year Anniversary Blend of Continuance needed to have special threads. At first, this was going to be called Lairds Apple Brandy M.J.K., but we reserve the M.J.K. name for a beer when it has triple-barrel-aged threads as at least the main component. This double-barrel-aged English Barleywine is a blend exclusively of our M.J.K. Mash #1 recipe brewed in 2021 and aged in Willett Family Estate Bourbon Barrels. In 2022, the M.J.K. barrels were racked to fresh Lairds Apple Brandy Barrels to rest for their final 9 months.

Deca: a prefix denoting a factor of 10. This beer represents more than 5 years of thoughtful planning and execution to explore a new boundary of our barrel aged beers. The core of the blend is Double Willett Barrel Aged M.J.K. Mash #1 recipe which was brewed in May of 2021. A never released beer – a Bourbon Barrel Aged Quadruple brewed in February of 2022 – fills in the sweetness and luxurious viscosity of this blend. Where we really pushed this blend and furthermore, this beer, are with the next two threads. A barrel of Noboleis 2018 Port found a loving and purposeful spot in the final beer, adding a layer of rich fruit, deep complexity, and notes you cannot create in beer. Finally, and maybe most ambitiously, since March of 2017 we have been aging and racking the O.W.K. recipe year over year in Willett Family Estate Bourbon Barrels. This thread was quintuple barrel aged with its final resting place being an 18-year-old Willett Family Estate Bourbon barrel with Ugandan Vanilla Beans in the barrel.

Double Barrel Rye BBT: From the brewer: "It is still amazing how well and uniquely Rye Barrels complement our stout recipes. With our love of Rye BBT, we wanted to explore a double barrel treatment of this popular release. Brewed in April of 2021, our VIBES recipe was racked to Still630 Rye Barrels and allowed to mature before racking it to Willett 5 year Rye Barrels for an additional rest. More than 25 months in Rye Barrels has added a new layer of rye barrel expression to our already loved Rye BBT and we are excited to include Double Barrel Rye BBT in our 10th Anniversary Box Set.

Double Barrel Derivation - Double Willett Single Vanilla: Double Barrel Derivation has come in many different forms. From explorations in unique wine barrels, to being finished in exotic woods, to integrations with our favorite adjuncts. Double Willett Single Vanilla Derivation was brewed in February of 2021. Our O.W.K. recipe aged in Willett 5-year Bourbon Barrels until July of 2022 and then it was racked to Willett 4 year Bourbon Barrels for its final rest. At maturity, we racked the selected barrels to a bright tank where a blend of Vanilla Beans from Sri Lanka, Vanuatu, Madagascar, and Mexico were waiting to infuse a complimentary amount of vanilla to our double barrel expression.
