“953610-I-24” is an Imperial Stout aged in a very special Willett Family Estate Bourbon barrel for 30 months. The name represents the serial number on the barrel and a fill date code. This is my first of four of these non-adjunct Stouts to come out of these very rare single barrel Willett Bourbon barrels I got from Ethan at Midwest back in March 2022. This barrel originally held 11 year old Bourbon in Kentucky and provided a ton of cask character for this 14.5% ABV beast. This is my favorite non-adjunct I have done in a long time. The aroma is reminiscent of dulce de leche and flavor is full of milk chocolate even though this beer does not contain lactose.
