This variation of Speedway Stout was matured in two types of oak barrels to develop its complex flavor profile. First, the beer went through an extended aging period in freshly used bourbon barrels to develop rich notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak. It was then transferred into barrels that held craft vanilla extract to add rich notes of vanilla and fruit.
