This 29th iteration in our series of blended, barrel-aged beers, weaves together several threads from a variety of barrels—ranging between 8 and 18 months—including Brother Soigné, experimental Farmstead® Imperial IPA, an unreleased beer to be named Wheat Blanc, and Self-Reliance Motueka. This pleasantly tart, hoppier offering has been bottle-conditioning for the last 14 months and has arrived at a pleasant intersection and expression.
30
This blend is composed of beers aged in red and white wine barrels, which formerly held Art, Flora, and (the yet to be released) Double Honey Ann. Blend components include Sankt Hans, Brother Soigné, 90% Wheat base, a Buckwheat base that aligned with the formulation of Samuel, and several barrels of Florence. Bottled in October of 2017, this beer has benefited from its three years of bottle conditioning.

This assemblage comprises nine beers conditioned in wine barrels and puncheons for spans between 4 and 15 months. Packaged in May 2018, the hopeful maturation of this blend has required nearly three years in the bottle. The result, much like Blend 30, is a delicate, complex, pleasantly tart expression of time, barrel, and nature that will achieve for several more years. Given its long conditioning time and lively effervescence, we recommend presenting this at 40ºF/4ºC.
