(American Pilsner, 5.5%, 16oz) In the hiking world, a cairn is often a trail marker along the path, or an indicator of a summit; they guide trampers on the trails to the top of a mountain. Here at Tree House Brewing Company we believe it is not always about the destination, but journey itself. This series showcases localized malts throughout the Northeast, and each iteration is single hopped with a different American hop. Cairn Series&mdashKatahdin utilizes pilsner from Blue Ox in Lisbon Falls, ME and Simcoe hops from the Pacific Northwest. Pouring a light golden color, it exhibits notes of vanilla wafer, saltine cracker, fresh strawberry, apricot, and raspberry lemon iced tea. It is lightly bodied, smooth, and crisp with a light mineral presence. This beer is very delicate and highly drinkable.
